Tjarko Busink Got this from Chris Dinsmore's amazing list...and this record is awesome. I played the first track and after one minute of listening I clicked on purchase. Big band, organ, metal guitar, Zappa and a whole lot of crazy. Kinda like Jersey Band...maybe even more overwhelming. I love it.

zuraith This album is mind-blowing.

I snagged the digipak after listening online- the packaging is of excellent quality, the artwork is gorgeous and charming.

The same adjectives work for the music. "Utopianist II" is like a sampling of a genre grabbag, with each remarkably represented. The artists clearly have a vast understanding of a massive arsenal of styles.

What "Utopianist meets Black Motor & John Ballantyne" doesn't parallel in variety, it doubles in impressive solos and jam sessions.

5/5 Favorite track: Spanking time.
Dillon Ethier

Dillon Ethier Wacky, fun, demented, hilarious, and utterly brilliant. A freaky fusion of big band jazz and prog rock, with a wide variety of other styles thrown in for good measure.

This track still makes me crack up. Favorite track: The Vultures were hungry.
